Today I am going to show you this cute snowman preschool craft. It's really easy to prepare and it helps your kids fine tune their motor skills, reiterate letters in their name and sparks their creativity as they decorate the snowman, You can use this craft as part of a snowman theme or on it's own.
I really encourage the kids to do as much of the craft on their own as they feel comfortable doing. It's a great idea to build up their muscles as they practice using scissors, holding a crayon correctly, and holding small objects and placing them carefully. This snowman craft will help them with all of those skills and they won't even realize they are learning as they enjoy putting this craft together.
Snowman Preschool Craft
To begin with you will need white paper, crayons or markers, scissors, glue and any other decorative items you want to add to your snowman. We used pipe cleaners, pom poms and buttons.
First I cut out the circles for each letter of their names. If your kids want to, let them cut out the circles themselves!
Then I cut out the hats using the same white paper.
Next, let the kids write each letter of their name on the circles.
Have them glue all the circles together and then glue the hat on the top.
Now it's time to decorate and individualize the snowman.
